When the same rules apply to the pattern of 3 black circles in the second row then the answer should be 2 white squares, which is not present in the options. You can say the test is wrong and skip it. Generally, you are expected to choose the best option. Even if it is not completely correct. If we inspect the options carefully, we observe that:
Option A follows 1 rule: decrease the number of items.
Option B follows 1 rule: change of color.
Option C follows 1 rule, change of shape from circle to square.
Option D follows 2 rules: The number of shapes reduces and circles transform into squares.
