How to play

  • Fill every empty cell with a number from 1 up to the maximum value on the keypad.
  • Cells sharing a side with the same number join together to form a block (polyomino).
  • Every block must contain exactly as many cells as the number written inside it (e.g. two 2s form a 2-cell block; three 3s form a 3-cell block).
  • Two separate blocks of the same number can never share a side (they would merge into an oversized block), but they may touch diagonally at corners.
  • Given numbers are clues that cannot be changed; a block may contain multiple clues of the same number or none at all.

Block Size Matches Its Number

Connected cells with the same number form a block. Every block must contain exactly as many cells as the number inside it.

✓ Correct Every block matches its number: 1-blocks (1 cell), 2-blocks (2 cells), 3-block (3 cells), and 4-block (4 cells).
2212444242211334
✗ Wrong Incomplete block: the 3-block at the bottom has only 2 cells (missing its 3rd cell), and the isolated 4 has only 1 cell.
2212444242211222
✗ Wrong Oversized block: three 2s are connected along edges into a 3-cell block. A block of 2s can only have 2 cells.

Same-Numbered Blocks Cannot Share an Edge

Two separate blocks with the same number cannot touch along a side (they would merge into an oversized block). They may only touch diagonally at corners.

2212444242211333
✓ Correct Different blocks of 2s touch only diagonally at corners, remaining separate legal blocks of size 2.
2222444242211333
✗ Wrong Side-touching blocks merge: placing a 2 at (0, 2) merges two separate 2-blocks into a single 5-cell block of 2s.
2211444142211333
✗ Wrong Adjacent 1s: two 1-cell blocks touch along an edge, creating an illegal 2-cell block of 1s.
A small Fillomino, solved.
